Less than an hour, and alittle challegening.
Just did it tonight though, and I'm not really finished.

Got the 2.5G from an online friends whos fed-exing it to me for free-the 5G is ok. I need to go back to walmart and by plastic binders to make the weaver stiff.

In my experience it doesn't work that well. And I spent wayyy too long putting it in. I've had a few fish wiggle through the sides, and it wasn't pretty. I have it in 10 2.5's and in 3 of the tanks a fish has figured out how to get through. So in my experiences it has a 70% success rate. But I guess if you're only doing it in one or two tanks it's more likely to work. :S

Would you mind telling me how they got through so I can betta proof it so it won't happen to me?

I recently nuked my divided 10 gallon, and let me tell ya, the dividers were the easiest part by far. Cutting them is the hardest part, but if you use the edges of report binders to keep them straight it's a breeze to install them.

I use plastic canvas and report binders which I seal inside the tank, the hardest part is feeding the canvas into the binder slits.

I've done this to all my 18x 10x10 tanks and even my 4 foot tank (this was split into 3 sections for the different Apisto breeding groups).

How do you attach the report binders to the tank wall?

I just cut my canvas to fit tightly and it sorta holds itself in place (with the help of the substrate), but alternatively you can use aquarium sealant.

Not if you want to use the tank for other things, too.

I still need to get repport binders....my bettas arrive Thursday morning! I need to fix that whole also that the betta got through earlier..

At one time I had canvas in 4 of my tanks and I had no problem. course the Aquarium Sealant doesn't work very well on the minibows that are not glass. But I just did what Synirr did and I've had no casualties *knocks on wood* :look:
