How Fast Plecos Grow

hello i have a pleco that is about 3 inchs long and 2 inchs wide #41#### little guys grow fast anybody knw how many inchs they grow a month i only bought him 6 weeks ago and he was maybe a inch long and half in wide now hes 3 inchs long and 2 inchs wide maybe even 4 inchs long and 3 wide i dont but hes big and got there really fast

mine didnt grow that fast, he was maybe 1.5 inches when i got it and 6 inches after about half a year, that was a common pleco, what kind of pleco is yours?

If it is a common plec or a gibbiceps then that growth rate is about right - what size tank is he in? They get HUGE (think 18"+) and likely to reach 12" within a year.

i got a picture and hes in a 55 gallon tank growing faster then i thot he would lol
i dont remember which pleco he is

any why does he shoot up to the top tank and come back down sometimes thats just weriod if i didnt have a lid hes probly fly half way across the room
