How Does This Stocking Sound Long Term?

^ that sounds very understocked ^

Its a mature system running 2 larger external filters.

I agree that you could definitley fit more in then the above stocking, but you have to keep in mind though it isn't all about having a large filter, the fish will have territories and cramping SA Cichlids is not a good idea aggression wise.

What happened to the latifrons and rotkeil?

Not trying to be 'mean' here but your tank isnt 100g, its 121 x 41 (46 on the bow) x 64 (including the hood, so make it 60). Making more around 80usg.

Making just large enough for the 2 severums plus the brasiliensis as its lower dwelling and the rainbows, adding the GT was daft IMO, you dont have to have one you know. You make the comment on another thread, that I have more stocking than you, well yeah, I have a larger tank than you, that not being the point, what works for one person, doesnt necessarily work for another.

The GT and BA shouldnt be togther, the GT will (unless extremely placid) kill the BA or worse still hybridise with it, maybe thats what your hoping for

So IMO and it is just MO, you either need to rehome the GT or rehome the rest of the fish, add some dithers, you have the rainbows, well lets see how that works, and possibly the BN will be fine.

Like I say, Im not having a go, but some times you need some perspective on your tank as you think its larger than it is and just because other people mix certain fish, doesnt make it recommended or advisable.

Edited to add: It MAY work out, these are cichlids and its down to their individual temprements, but I just think you should be prepared for it NOT to work, is the point Im tryng to get across, I get in trouble sometimes for coming across as too negative, its not my intention.

Fine, but your wrong on my tank dimensions.

Juwel rio 400 = 151 (cm) x 51 x 63

Your tank, Fluval Vincenza = 121 x 41 (46 @ bow) x 64.

So not sure how you come to the conclusion that your tank is wider :S

Im well aware of my stocking thanks, thats not in question.

I shall refrain from commenting further, it was a well meant warning, nothing more.

I give up.

I am on Glenbo's side. I know that she is open to rehoming fish. I think that her tank will be fien. Eventhough I am afraid that the green terror will take havoic of the tank. I have no expirence, on the Gold Saums, or the regular ones. You know more about them than I do, so I assume you are correct. I know severums need a large tank, and 100usg, is enough for two severums, but no more "large" cichlids IMO. Not IME, but IMO. I think that this should be fine
2 Severums
1 Acara
1 Bahia Red
HOw ever many rainbow fish
A few Bristlenose.

LIke I said, I have no expirence, and I don't know how large the tank is. But if Glenbo has two 10 gallon bukets, and she filled them both up 5 times, then it would have a volume of 100 USG. Maybe she should do a 100% water change, and then see how many times she had to fill up the buckets.
