wow im jealous... and it looks good :good:
whats the stocking going to be like?

cheers mike not fully sure on the stocking yet. next couple of days i`ll be sorting some fish out to get it cycling, was thinking of some black phantom tetra as ive read these are hardy fish and cover all areas of the water...

im new to keeping tropical fish, but with the help of the forum and the guy from my local fish shop who built the tank hopefully i wont encounter to many problems.

welcome to the forum!

Witha tank that size you've got countless possibilities!

Welcome.

Like ZZ said, so many choices. 1000ltr, I'd be thinking an oscar and severum. :good:

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum. Tank looks amazing!

Can you do a fishless cycle, using bottled ammonia?

thanks for the warm welcome...

i had been thinking of some different type of tetras, some rainbow fish, angel fish, moonlight gourami, some small cat fish..
these are just some i been looking at as i got such a vast window to fill need..im only using plastic plants in the tank itself but will have plants in the sump as part of the filteration..
the tank has been running 3 weeks today just tickiing over while i got some deco.. i put some stabilize in to add some bacteria and added a little pellet food to start breaking down..

fishless cycle is still a possibility with the bottled ammonia..

but im open to suggestions as this is why im here... :good:

If you do a fish-in cycle, you are looking at daily water changes - I wouldn't fancy that with a tank your size!

Fishless is better for your fish and for your back.
