Well the title says it all, I have a hex tank which I thought was 4 litres, but when I look at it I think it's bigger.
Thanks,
Neal
*Get's tape measure at the ready*

dont know but if you measure the height of the tank and mark on the front a quarter of the tank,do a 25% water change (down to that mark)and measure what you take out with a measuring jug or something simalar and times it by 4 you will have your capacity
thats what i would do lol

I've done this before..
Find the area of your hexagon base first. (Area of a hexagon) = 1.5 * (square root of 3) * (length of one of the 6 sides in inches, if they are all the same) ^2

Then take the (area of the hexagon) * (height of the tank in inches) = volume of the tank in cubic inches. To convert from cubic inches to gallons divide by 231.

It's about 3.5 Litres I pulled out so that would make it what in UK gallons? (I may have got a level 7 in maths but i'm still thick!)
Damn, it's only about 3 gallons, and I thought it was more than 4? =S I have a 15 Gallon downstairs but nowhere to set it up as i've got a 20 Gallon waiting to be set up, and I won't be allowed 2 tanks in the kitchen, and my bedroom is to small for a 15 Gallon =( Don't think I will get a dwarf puffer then, maybe a male fighter, i'm undecided!
