How Do You Spawn Neon Tetra

and if there is a cave would they use it

My friend breeds them. He said your need acidic water like a pH of 5-6. I dont think neon tetras breed in caves.

No caves, no. I think they spawn as a shoal and scatter the eggs over soft plants (java moss is good for this).

BTW - the eggs are very light sensitive, so you should darken the tank as soon as spawning has occurred. Parents might eat the eggs so remove them. Might be a good idea to add a small shrimp to eat any fungus that appears before it infects the valid eggs too.
