How Do You Prune Amazon Swords

My amazon sword is doing rather well and is about 14inches plus, sprouting new leaves all the time.

I do like this plant but it's starting to take over. Can you prune them? If so how?

I think you just snip the longer stalks near to the roots.

Just remove the leaves. Run your fingers down one leaf and get as low as possible then a sharp tug should remove it close to base a poss. Easy once you get the hang of it.
