How do you keep your plants buried in the gravel?

After a couple of days some of the stems end up floating on top of the water.

How deep is your gravel?

Mine is around 2 inch at the back and i've never had any problems yet.

You could try some lead weights to hold the plants down while they establish a root system.

Are the plants actually coming out of the substrate or are the stems breaking? If its the first then just keep pushing them into the gravel they'll take hold eventually. If its the latter, then you need to solver the problem of why you're plants are not healthy.
