How Do You Clean Your Water?

What I do is I take the betta out of his/her tank and clean the whole thing and then put them in. what do you guys do?

i do the same or sometimes when i'm really busy i just do a 50% change

I fish my Betta's into cups and clean their tanks fully. I then add the dechlorinated water and such into the tank and gently allow the Betta's to swim out of their cups back into their nice-clean homes!

I keep mine in their tanks when I clean. The boys don't care about me cleaning around them and I take out about 80% a week. If I put them in cups or similar small containers most of them would go nuts.
The girls live in a large 44g tank anyway so it's normal large tank rules for them.

Edit:I ought to add that my boys all have tanks of 7+g each.

depends on the tank. the 1 gallon, i take the fish out and clean it and let her reacclimate from her little cup back into the water. the 2.5 gallon- depends on how dirty i think it is. sometimes i just do a 50% water change, other times i take her out and clean the whole thing. the 5 gallon, i just do a 50% water change on. too much of a pain to disconnect everything.
