Well how do you clean sand without making the water cloudy.

Hoover over it with a gravel cleaner. The poo will go up first. If you do happen to hoover some up just collect it from the bucket afterwards.

Either that or you can swoosh a net about.

Also, this and the other thread about plants shouldn't be in this room.

It isn't easy though - I always manage to suck some sand out of the tank when I clean... I guess it takes more practice as I am relatively new to sand substrate-based tank...

I tend to siphon the poop out with a thin hose. Good idea just before a water change.
