However don't know if it'd work considering that the finished mesh will be placed vertically instead of horizontally, but yea, give it a try. Had the same idea as you some time ago, just never got around to actually doing it.And post some pics when you're done if possible, would love to see some.
with details on how to grow moss up the back wall of a tank. the only thing is, he did it with Christmas Moss, but I'd imagine java moss would work too...

I just read the stuff about the Christmas Moss with the mesh to cover the back of the tank, and i really like the idea. What i'm wondering about is the heater and filter inlet. Do i cover them, go behind them, or what?
I think if I was doing it I might make the mesh cover ALL the back of the tank but cut two holes for the heater suction cups to go through, then hopefully the moss would grow up to those holes. i wouldnt cover it cos that will stop the heat spreading out. I can't advise on what to do with the filter though cos I dunno what type of filter you have. mine isnt even on the back wall.
