i have a ful sized white and yellow african chiclid, they both have egg spots on the back but one has many more than the other. How do i determine the sex of each african?

A good indicator is behaviour, do you notice the fish shaking and curling it's body?
If the fish is kept alone this may never happen, if it does he's a he
A couple of less accurate ways are to observe the presentation of the fins, if they are often on show, he's a he (especially if two males are fronting up or females are swimming around his patch) and the egg spots on Males are more prominent spot and usually in multiples whereas females are just for show.

Hope this helps
