I'm having a hard time with Leo as he will not stop eating. I've started feeding all the fish only once a day and in much smaller amounts to try and stop this problem, but he still insists on eating everything non stop.
I feed the danios first so they don't eat his food. I feed him betta flakes next and only a tiny amount, which he'll eat. While feeding him, I feed the cories their two cory pellets. The cories are extremely slow eaters and so Leo feels the need to come and eat the pellets too.
He gets noticeably fatter when he does this and it's beginning to worry me, while the cories take ages to eat he is very fast so changing times around really wouldn't work either. I feed them at opposite sides of the aquarium but he still goes hunting for their food straight away.
The only two things I've thought of is putting him in a breeding net or something when feeding the others, but I can't imagine him being happy with that. Either that or feeding him and the danios only the once - but feeding the cories one pellet in the morning and one in the night, that way he won't be eating so much at once and at least the danios will help try and steal it in the evening. Perhaps feeding all the fish only every other day?
Sigh. I'm not really sure what to do!
