all advice will recieve a warm welsome :)

tie it to something, trim it every now and then and just let it do its thing, i think java moss is the one plant you CANNOT kill lol unless you black out the tank, it wont die.

oh bugger tie it to something?? wish i had asked before i put it in now, anyway thanks very much, i feel reassured that even i cant kill it lol

yeah just use come cotton thread, tie it to a bit of bogwood or an ornament, so it doesnt float all round the tank, if you put it on an ornament in time it will look like a grassy rock lol.

i left mine untied and it's attatched itsself very nicely to a piece of bogwood! :good:

FREE???? probably did not know what they were giving away!!!

I paid £6 for a little tub of the stuff! was shocked how much they wanted really...but it is hard to find...

As everyone said you can leave it floating around or tie it too something...I use cotton wool but you need to be careful that your fish dont get caught in it...

Your not the only one who kills "indestructable" plants...i killed oxygenator within afew weeks of getting it... :ninja:

Funny thing java moss, I have given it free to friends and see it really expensive(and terrible condition in shops)then theres one shop that sells massive clumps of it for next to nothing and great quality.

I agree it works best when you tie it so something. Dont be afreaid to bind it quite tightly, in only a few days you will see it starting to spread.

OMG I LOVE your shrimp!  You must have hundreds in your tank by the looks of that photo!

Oh yes.  And java moss.  +1 for tying it down.

A good thing to use is Flourish excel the java moss will grow by a centimeter each day!
