Hi everyone, I really need help.

A week ago, I bought a new Juwel Rio 125L which contains nothing but sand.

A few days ago, I put a single Harlequin Rasbora in my tank, just to speed up cycle process.

Today, I have looked in my tank and it is full of small red worms, they look like Blood Worm. Im confused because i have not put any live food in my tank.

I really want to get rid of them, What shall I do?

Please Help!!!

Any live plants in the tank.
Did you sterlise everything before adding it to the tank.
If there blood worms wouldn't worry the fish will eat them.

I doubt if its from the fish at this moment camallanous worms have to feed on the host for the worm to be red.

Keep them. Your fish will thank you. In one of my tanks that I will add a female betta to has tubifex worms from a vernal pool(like a pond, but a lot smaller, and some dry up.) Besides, if they are bloodworms, they will become small flies and leave the aquarium. You could also place a few in an ice cube tray, freeze them, and saze them for later thawing. :good:
