How Dangerous Is Presserized Co2

hi all i was thinking of doing a diy co2 kit then i have thought maybe i should go the full hog and get a pressurized system. how safe is it.

Unless you LOVE to fiddle wiht your tank don't bother with DIY CO2. I thought it was neat for about 2 weeks. My system leaked, the bottles smelled, it was hard (impossible) to control.

Pressurised is money well spent

My friend has a Master in Chemical engineering and he told me there was no danger to Co2 other than the high pressure in the tanks.

If you are not careful/ stupid with it by attaching regs without the saftey pin, not attaching the reg secuerly/ safely, laying on it side, unstable surface etc then it can be unsafe. However if you be sensible then it will be fine.

well im as sensible as the next person.
Ive got a 3 year old and a 1 year old and their up to all sorts in the house probably not safe then when their about

There are plenty of people with kids here (I've got a one year old myself) - keep it in the cabinet and lock it, or chain it to the wall so they can't knock it over.

I have a 2 and 3 year old. Saintly has a 3 year old. Takes some supervision but I do have a locked cabinet under my tank so no fingers can touch any gear. The heater is in the open but with some sellotape over the dial so the temp doesn't get changed

My Mum is a childminder usually at least2 under 3's everyday!
