How can you tell when gup is done birthing?

How can you tell when a gup is done birthing? Mine's gravid spot is just a very very small black thing now, ... Is she done? Or is there still a few more?

I think the biggest clue would be that she looks like a matchstick in comparison to the balloon like figure she would have attained!

oh! I just went back to the tank, guess while I was typing she had a few more, because there is not really a gravid (Black) spot left. Just two speckles... I will wait a little to make sure she still dosent have 2 more...

Perhaps leave her for a few more hours and see if any more come out.

When my platy has given birth - her gravid spot remains, but at about 5% of what it reached when she had given birth.
