how can i train my fish to eat food out of my hand
:)

Depends on what fish you have. With some fish like oscars, livebearers etc it will happen naturally, as they learn to trust you. I feed my livebearers out of TetraDelica sachets twice a week and they eat straight out of the sachet as I hold it. With the babies it took a few months for them to learn. With other fish, like cories, I doubt it will happen at all.

well, from your profile, it says you have guppies. if you feed them frozen bloodworms, you can just pinch some and stick your hand in the water. they will eventually go to your hand and eat it.

yea guppies is what i have

i will just go and try
thanks
:)

Our fire eels eat whole prawn out of our hands, my two silver arowana used to bite me every time I put my hands in the tank but used to come to the surface to gently take whitebait and worms from my wifes fingers!

Have never tried to hand feed the stingrays, though they can be trained to do it.

:hyper: i have done it
i pinched a bit of food & they swimed around my fingers for about a min then a female came and eat it & keeped coming back but no other guppies came just one female & ate all the food

just tryed to feed my gold fish with my hand
but no luck

Congrats. :) It's a great feeling when your fish trust you that much! My bettas jump out of the water and grab pellets from my finger. Jerry did it really easily but Rio took almost three months to trust me. He was very skittish but now is more trusting.

thanks
yea great feeling :D

If i put my had in the tank, all the fish come and peck it, food or no food. My betta loves be but wouldn't trust me especially as i like sticking a mirror up agaist it's tank... poor thing

My danio's are the same, when they are all over the place I waggle my finger in the water > they all come to it and then I feed them, otherwise i takes them ages to realise they've been fed. The Tetras just ignore anything that goes on on the surface and just seem to pick remains from the bottom instead.

what i done was hold the flake above the water for about 2 minuets.
if you fish does not accept it dip it in a little bit by your fish and follow it around slowly.
try that
good look
