I have two female bettas and I keep their bowls on a table right next to each other. As they swim around, when they spot each other they stop and stare and wiggle their tail fins. Then they look away(they don't look for long) and keep on swimming. I don't think this is aggressive but i'm just worried they won't like each other. I will be putting them together in a 10 gallon soon and I like them both a lot and I don't want them to fight. Thought I have seen female bettas flare, mine have never done it. How can I tell if they like or dislike each other? Should I move their bowls apart so they won't get stressed out? Will they be okay together in a ten gallon? ???? ????

Now by bowls what water amount is it? is the water filtered and is it heated. If female Betta's are to be kept together you need a sorority tank which is a tank of 5 or more (I believe the minimum is 4-5) they need to be kept in large groups to obtain a pecking order if not there will merely be bullying and deaths.

Like stated above females need to either be alone, or in groups of 5 or more. Though in a 10 gallon a nice sorority of 5-6 females would be awsome, just make sure it's well planted so they have places to get away from eachother. But once you set up your tank, you should go out and buy a few more females :good:
