Feeling like a really bad pet owner at the moment. Can anyone help?

It all started while we were on honeymoon. We came back and we'd lost one molly and our loach was twice the size. He then started to attack other fish and we lost a couple more before we dropped him back at the shop. I think we must have lost a neon though because something had rotted in there. I've spent a lot of time doing partial water changes and we are nearly, but not quite, back to healthy levels (according to 5 in 1 tetratest). BUT, this week I lost a gourami to what, with Wilders help appeared to be an ulcer and another gourami has a tiny open sore on his side which doesn't seem to be getting any worse and may be getting better, but I've now spotted to white spots on two fish and having suffered with a white spot outbreak before I know thats what that is. I've also got a black molly with a bad case of pop eye. I feel like I should just give the whole lot away as I'm clearly incapable of keeping fish alive and healthy.

I was treating the gourami with anti bacterial meds and anti fungal meds, the bottle says that the anti bacterial should only be used every four days though, and I've just put some white spot treatment in the tank too.

What can I do? Is this situation salvageable? I'm really quite upset to be honest, I've tried really hard to make this tank work, taken advice on various forums, treated when I've thought there was some kind of illness, tested water stats regularly, done partial water changes every three to four weeks, although of late its been a lot more frequent, but I just seem to kill stuff.

The tank is 56 litres, has one gourami, 13 neons, 3 black mollies and a corydora - is this too much?

Sorry this is so long, I'm just wondering where to go from here really, I have a variety of diseases in the tank, I'm not sure how to treat them all without overdosing all of them on various meds, or should I just really give up and give the lot away to people who know what they are doing?

You are abit overstocked for just over a ten gal what filter are you using, don't add the finrot med anymore or you will have to many meds in the tank, if the spots look like grains of salt yes you have whitespot, i would only half dose the bacteria med while the whitespot med is in.

Thanks Wilder. I know I definitely have whitespot, had it before and managed to treat it well enough.

I've not put in the anti fungal since yesterday so I won't use that again. I've got in there the anti bacterial med which went in three days ago, and tonight I spotted the white spot so I added med for that.

Can the popeye be treated?

Think I should give a fish or five away then?

Congrats then.
