Hi, my LFS has alot of angelfish (probably 20) i was just wondering how i can find a "pair" as it would be nice to see them caring for each other.

i only want 2 for my 31g tank.. =\
i have suitable tank mates so theres no problems..

just wondering what the signs are of a pair. obviously staying with each other, but when theres 20 in a small tank its hard to tell ..

best bet is to buy a group of 6+ as juvi's, monitor the behaviour and as they start to mature a pair may form, when it does you return the rest of the fish to the shop.

you'd be very very lucky to pick out a pair from a tank full of juvi's in teh shop.

unfortunately that's the only way to do it if you want to buy juvi's, alternatively look for someone wanting to re-home a breeding pair.

theres n ochance you'll pick a pair out of a tank ful of juvi's the above way is about the nly way if your buying juvis...

I picked out two angelfish from juvies and they grew up to be a breeding pair, so there is a chance actually. -_-

31g sounds a bit small to me, what are the dimensions of your tank? when the angels are fully grown they need at least 14inches height of a tank? im 'guessing' your dimensions are roughly 100x40x30?

theres a breeding pair for sale in buy/sell but theyre in scotland, dunno where you are,and i would think they are un- postable cos they are huge,, really stunning tho, i wouldnt mind them
