How Can I Decresae My Tank Temperature ?

Hello,
I have my 20 Gl tank filled with 6 danios 1 pleco and 6 platis....My concern is that I can't find a way to lower the water temp. in the tanks . The sticker thermometer shows 27.C ( 80.F) .
Are these reading any accurate or should I try another thermometer ? .Are these thermometer any reliable ( came with the 20 Gal tank kit)

I would like to find a way to slowly lower the temperature in the tanks without harming my fish.

Any suggestion ?

I would still replace the stick on thermo, as these can also give a false reading as they can register room heat

I have one of those drop in thermometers (like 5 bucks at lfs) and it is very accuarate and easy to read!

I just checked the temp on my tank after reading this - usually keep around 81F - was 85F (gasp!) How many fish have I lost so far? 0! I always keep it a little above 80F - seems to prevent ich - only time I had a fish with that was years ago when tank was around 76F....hmmm...

All right then, thank you for the answers, I'll go and get one of those drop in therm....and won't worry that much about temp. anymore
