4.A heater with a built in themonotor

5.4 bags of gravel

6. I perfer u guys get both a undergravel filter and a power filter.

7.décor if u want I just have it simple wrecked pirate ship and fake plants

What you do is put undergravelfilter in tank when its set up.
Rinse out 1 in a half bags of gravel and spread it over the filter.
Fill the tank stop at 2 inches from top then put on the power filter then at the stesscoat to dechorlinize the water wait 1 day to put the stress zyme in .when you do put both in let the tank cycle for a 2-6 weeks.
Then add the fish oh and keep the filter on while cycling. every day keep heater on until it hit 70-78 degrees then turn heater off




Types of fish for 10-15gals

2-7 glass tetras
1-5 mollies

1 chinese algae eater

1 angle fish but be careful could get to big.

5-8 guppies

3-8 neons

painted glass tetras

2-3 pygmy cories

2-4 endlers livebearears






all of the perfered fish for 10-15 gals

chineese algae eater CAE is not sutable for a 10g or community tank.

you didnt say anything about a fishless cycle or any type of cycle. you just said "let it cycle 4-6 weeks" a filter will not just cycle.

the heater should remain on all the time and the tank temp should be 76-86º not 70-78.

stess zyme will have no affect unless your adding fish as it just helps the fish.

and most of the rest is common sense stuff.

A large number of points as raised in your originating post leads to confusion and not many people will come back as it will be too much cover: So what we're saying is start a number of different threads with simple, clear, individual questions. You'll get a far better response and a far varied response from more members.

There is nothing wrong with bad grammar / spelling: There are many people here from many, many countries and the level of tolerance (shall we say) to this is very friendly. (I just wish the yanks would sort their spelling out! LOL, joke people, JOKE).

Can't you just run it through a spell check? I never take advice from someone who doesn't bother to spell correctly, as this indicates a lack of effort IMO. How many times do we have to tell you, ANGEL! fish are too big. You're going to confuse someone by calling them "angle" fish. You don't want people to think it's this do you?

I hate that, by encouraging painted glass fish, you are encouraging dyed fish to newbies. In short, dyed fish have a needle inserted into them which injects dye that takes over the body, not only giving the fish a painful and traumatic experience but weakening it overall. You need to provide links to pinned topics such as cycling and 10g beginner fish. Please take into consideration ALL the posts, and not just the first few, as it seems like you did. I know you overlooked my post or didn't care as I said, angelfish and PGF are bad for this tank. CAE's can and WILL kill your fish. Honestly, to me, it seems like you are just pulling fish out of thin air. I think you really ought to research more before making a careguide as you don't want to give newbies the wrong impression.
4 - 8 weeks, minimum for cycling.
