How Big Can Marigold Swordtails Grow?

I have a male and he is about 3" , how much bigger can he be? He is a 180g tank, so space isn't an issue.

Ive seen some strains at my LFS close to 5 in. i guess it depends on where it came from

I am thinking mine might have reach its full size, it haven't grown in the last 4 months. Lots of good and big tank

By the way, what would be a good male to female ratio?

Some Swordtails can reach 7" counting the tail. The body usually stays aboput 3 1/2" - 4" though.

A good ratio is 2-4 females, per male. However, it's risky putting more then one male Swordtail in a tank, unless you have a good sized tank,enough females, and it's decorated/planted up.
