How Bad Is My Tank, Really?

Well I have had a 16 gallon bow front tank for a little over a month now and here is my stock.
1 green barb
3 long finned serpae tetras
2 guppies
1 albino cory
2 albino sharks
1 redtailed shark
1 pearl gourami
1 gold gouarmi
2 dwarf gouramis

Dont worry, I know my tank is bad! I never researched before i started adding fish, and it doesnt help when your girlfriend is impatient and the lfs employees have no expert advise or recommendations about stocking. Well over the last week my tank has really seemed to clear up and the levels are coming down to safe readings.

Take back the barb, all sharks and all gouramis bu the dwarf gouramis.

Also, will need to get 3 more cories to keep your one company.

Also, serpaesare known to be fin nippers.... so your guppies might get it from them.

I agree, your tank contains more potential bad things than an Al Qaeda suggestion box. Will the shop you bought them from take them back?

Get a bigger tank then u can keep some of those

Ya, I'm planning on getting atleast a 55USG here real quick. All the fish seem to be getting along pretty well. My serpaes only chase each other, my barb is probably one the most non-dominate fish in the tank besides the guppies. Not one of the species goes after another species or nips. As for all the clashing fish, blame it on the girl. All the fish she picks out end up being really mean Yes its amazing I know. Heres an even worse story.

At one point there were 3 african cichlids in there too, but minus a few other fish. No one at the lfs told me cichlids go with cichlids, and in largs tanks, but I also blame myself for not researching.

So, since I found this site I have learned soo much, and I showed my mom, her tank is about as bad as mine or worse.

Also, anyone got stocking ideas for a 55usg tank? Keeping in mind, I am transfering most of the fish I have in the 16usg.

i have a red tail shark! hes about this big....

he isnt the ruby shark i know what im on about but if yours are anything like mine then he will get huge.
