How Am I Doing Now?

Last week i posted a problem with loads of fish dying. From advice from Wilder i bought interpet anti internal bacteria med. I have just added my 2nd dose last night and just 10mins ago noticed a neon tetra with pop eye and some bloatedness round the mouth. he has gone now. the rest of my fish seem to be doing great. they are feeding again, they love the frozen peas and they r going mad for the flakes and catfish food.

is it possible the neon that died today could have had the disease and only showed it today as it seemed fine a few days ago. it was swimming alone, next to the filter so i had a look and it had different colours to the other 6, popeye and bloated mouth and stomach area.

what would you advise with the med? keep adding more in another 4 days?

It was possible it already had the infection. Unfortunately, the antibiotic meds in the UK avaliable with out a perscription are fairly weak. I would keep up wiht the treatment for the rest of the recomended time, as stopping early can lead to bacteria becoming resistant to the meds you have avaliable.

ok will carry with the course of meds for now and keep an eye on them.

just a quick question tho, should I remove the fake plants from when the infection started? i threw 1 away but cleaned the other and popped it back in. many thanks

It should be fine, consider that the bacteria and what not would be in the gravel and on every other decoration as well. I wouldn't worry too much at this point.
