I have this viney pothos or phylodendron plant that sits on top of my 55. It gets diffused light from a glass block window, the plant is doing really well. Being a viney plant, it is reaching towards the openings in the tank, which houses a bunch of angels & a couple common plecs. Would a plant like this trailing into the water be bad for the fish? I know plecs like their veggies, I'd hate to see one die from eating houseplant vines. The only thing I know about aquarium plants is that all mine are fake, I have yet to kill one of those. The few plants on top of the tank doing this well is a miracle, I usually kill houseplants.

actually pothos will grow in water....if u take cutting and plac it in the water it will sprout roots and tuh dah u have a new plant....i wouldnt risk it....most house plants are poisonus to cats, dogs, people, etc so i dont want to see what happens to the fish especialy those u like plants like angels and plecs
