Is it normal for clowns to try to host anything. I got my clowns as juv's and they didn't seem interested in anything to begin with but now after 5 months (got them the day after my son was born) one is trying to host my clam and the other is try with the branching tourch.

Would have though that they would have chosen the same thing but look like there still undesided whos the F and whos the M (I'm right in thinking thy change sex)

Realy need to buy a book on clownfish but with the new tank up and comming funds are a bit low.

Could anyone shed any light :/

Totally normal, I've seen them host feather dusters and even powerheads :D. Nobody really knows why, but they can host in anything. They of course prefer softer and/or tentacled things to host, but are often fickle. Mine chill in my euphylla corner for the time being

I've heard of a Clownfish hosting a Watchman Goby. Reportedly brought him food and everything.
