Does anyone have any tips on how to keep it sunk so it looks planted, without making the bottoms rot? My tank is topsoil then gravel and when I pushed it all the way in to the soil, I discovered the bottom rots after a couple days...If it is just slightly in the gravel will it still rot? thanks for the help!

Well, I have planted it in gravel, wedged it under driftwood and rocks, and I haven't noticed rotting. Of course, I have trimmed it back and replanted it so regularly that perhaps it didn't have time to rot. One thing I did that was cool. I have a piece of red slate leaning against my rear glass at about an 80 degree angle, and I tucked a few hornwart under the leaning slate, forming a group of hornwort that cover the middle rear of the tank, flowing forward when they continue to grow longer than the surface. The thing I just did, instead of cutting it back again, was to wrap certain sections in and out of the spaces in my driftwood, between large anubias and some wisteria, as welll as wrapping it around my outflow shaft. I don't know if you have to worry about it rotting, as I haven't noticed that. I've shoved it into gravel, in a heap, and I still didn't notice rotting. I am far from an expert, but I just wanted to share some of the things I have done with it.

Hi Rion,

Thanks for your ideas! I'll have to play around with it. I really like this plant, I know it might be kind of common, but its so cool!
