:hyper: Wow...what a great forum you guys have! I'm brand new to this hobby, and used the excuse of starting it for my two daughters. However, I don't think my wife is falling for it....I guess I'm a bit excited and just hope I don't screw things up or she might make me get rid of the tank.

It's just my first week, after running the tank for three days, I put two Danio Zebras and two Platies inside. Oddly enough one of the Platies seemed a bit large in the stomach area, and kept hiding under one of the decorations. She did that for about 24 hours....she now looks thinner and is swimming around quite briskly with the other three fish.

I sure hope if she has fry that they don't screw up things up as I'm trying to get the tank cycled. Thanks for letting me on board!

:hi: to TFF!!! Hope you have a great time on this forum! Look forward to seeing your posts!

You really shouldn't be cycling a tank with fish; they'll be suffering in an uncycled tank.

Actually I read in another post that zebra danio's well help real well with the cycling of a tank.
