Hello,

Ok i think this is the third of fourth time doing this but each time someone points out a flaw. First I cant have tiger barbs with my angel the gourmis are suseptible to dieseases (sp?), then on top of that my african dwarf frogs arent strong enough swimmers to make it to the top of a 55 gallon tank for air so they had to go too bwahahaha hopefully ( i think i have a winning combination at this point) if not its back to the drawing board. ok here it goes.....

55 Gallon Tank
1-Angelfish
1-Banjo Catfish
2-Bolivian Rams
6-Von Rio Tetras
6-Lemon Tetras
3-Kuhli Loaches

What does everyone think? Please respond, I need to know if this will work so i can start trying to see how broke im going to be when my tank finishes cycling

dependingon the size of the angel i belive depending which gets bigger first, the angel or the tetra, as soon as your angel discovers the tetras fit in his outh he will be a well fed and happy chappy, not 100% sure if this is correct for the tetras you have selected but i know in the wild the main diet of an angel fish are tetras. may want to ask some one who knows angels alot btter than i tho as ive not kept one for severl years, but since i read that i can now understand why as a kid my neons never lasted more than a week.

if you get the angel from a baby and it grows up being surrounded by the tetra generally it won't see them as food.

as for the stock list it all looks good to me.

as you're having kuhli loaches and a banjo i would recommend a sand substrate.

It sounds good, as others have said about the tetras. I would go for larger tetras such as Congo Tetras or Bleeding heart tetras.

Lemon and Flame tetras should be fine with an Angel,

Do you think the loaches and banjo cat will be ok on gravel? Because Its kind of to late for me to change it, thou i do have a few caves for them to hide in???

Those two species are hard to see at the best of times so I wouldn't be too worried about substrate, They will find somewhere to hide

ok thank you, i should be able to see them fine as i work third shift and get home when its dark. which is also good for their feeding.

Not really sure what's compatible with those. I think they're semi aggressive. If you do get one get a clear hamster tube so you can still see him when he's hiding because i hear they use sonar.

well im not sure about that, everything i have read has said to either keep them alone or groups larger than four. I have had my angel by itself for 4 months now and it seems to be doing fine, but thank you.

Keeping 1 Angel would be ok,
As for the knife fish, if you wanted 1 then from your original stocking you would only be looking at keeping the angel and possibly the Rams and Banjo Cat,
