Noticed last night that I have about 20 tiny baby honey gourami's hanging from the males bubblenest! I had presumed that he was just making a nest but that the females were not interested, but seems I was wrong. Watched them for a while, they are too small to move, just hanging there with egg sacks still attached.

The male and one of the females are still spawning, do gourami's spawn little and often, or would the fry be from the other female?

I am going to leave the fry as they are, I don't have any space for more fish unfortunately, i suppose there is an outside chance of survival as its heavily planted, but we will see.

I am just amazed that after only a month since all the gourami's were being read their last rites, they have produced babies! Must be the relief of being alive!

Sounds great!

Where abouts are you from?

I'm after some of these fish, but dont seem to be able to get them down here in sunny but cold - brighton.

congrats on having babies!

I live near Bracknell in Berks, and honeys seem pretty abundant around here.

There are still a few in there, but they are still spawning as well. Can't quite believe how small the babies are!
