I am so shocked that I was able to save both fish, when my medium goldfish swallowed one of my small cories today. The fish had gotten stuck in his mouth, and amazingly, I was able to pull out the cory with tweasers! 
So now the goldy can still eat, and the cory can swim again! I've added some melafix to the water, to help speed up the cory's recovery. I think I will take the goldy back to the LFS, as he is going to grow too large for my tank, and I can't afford a 20 gallon right now. Not to mention he's an endangerment to my smaller fish. 
But I can't believe I saved them both! Wow!
