Quite a basic one..

When I'm on holiday for 2 weeks shall I live my light on or turn it off?

My tanks a 3ft and has someplants in which I would like to grow and multiply!! It's a new setup so no fish yet, but will buy fish when i get back from holiday.

My lamp says it's a "plant growing light" it's a set up a bought 2nd hand and thats what was in there.

I got one of those timer switches for my lights like the ones people put on house lightes when they go on holiday.

I wouldn't have thought it would be good for the plants to leave them off

only problem is Ihave my light and pump wired into one of those litle multi switch things

leave everything on if you stop the pump then it will affect the biological bacteria which will kill the new fish and leaving the light off will kill the plants

well , im leaving tomorow to the airport to go to San Fransisco. Today's the only chance to clean my tank an everything because tommorow I have to be out at 5 in the morning and my plane leaves at 6. Maybe I could make a quick stop to the pet store and get a light timer. But what I'm afraid of is that my so called "Smart" family members who are staying home might add some fish to my only 10 gallon and might just change my tank or do something weird to it in which I don't want happening. So Imma just leave a lil list of things you should do or whatever.
