Just wondering the best way to provide food for cichlids if you are going on holiday for a week. I know block is not great so if anyone has any agreeable methods I'd love to hear them.

Thanks in advance guys and gals. :)

What type of cichlid are they, If there mbuna you can just leave them without food they will probably clean your tank while your away as well  .

If you really want to feed them use a auto feeder ehiem do a really good one.

Tank is meticulously clean! B) so you can programme an auto feeder for a week? (dont know much about them) :look:

I have a eheim automatic feeder, you can programme to feed up to 4 times a day if you wish, it also has a slider which determines the amount fed at each time, i have never had a problem using mine i would reccommend

Cheers Gordon

Thats fantastic! how many days can it last?

You will have no problem using it for a week even if you only half fill it, you can get a fair bit of food in them, by the way i got mine off ebay about half price to the shops and it was brand new in the box, so would be worth a look.
