Hi all,

I'm going away for a couple of weeeks and was wondering about the fish. I only have someone to feed tham half way through so they will be going for 7 days without food either side. I was wondering what the best solution is:

Is it best just to use one of them week blocks you can get that slowly dissolve, or is there something better?

Thanks

Sanchez

don't get those feeding blocks, they're awful, they can really mess up your water and you might come back to tank full of dead fish. Most tropicals can actually go about 2 weeks without food so just getting fed once in between should be OK, make sure you don't overfeed before you go though as the excess can just mess up the water and you won't be there to sort it. What fish have you got? The best option if your worried is to get an automatic feeder, they're only about 15 quid and will drop a set amount of food in your tank at set intervals, if you do get one make sure you test it first, leave it running with food etc for a week or so just to check it works fine and it's feeding the right amount etc. :)
