My female Red Zebra is holding.. Problem is there is no male zebra.. I have a bunch of cichlids in the tank, the babies will definatly be a hybrid.. I just have one question.. Are the eggs definatly fertilized or could she be holding non fertile eggs?

its doubtful she'll hold the eggs if unfertile, but it can happen.
if they are fertile, the best way to sort it out is either, let her hold in the main tank and let the other fish eat the babies if there are any, or take out the female and strip the eggs/fry and euthanise them.

I wouldnt mind keeping the hybrids for my tank and for my home only or a friend of mine up the block.. I think i am gonna remove her and put her in a 20 gallon by herself.. Is there anything else that could be done to ensure the survival of the fry?

When my females have spat their babies out, I usually feed them for a day on some prawns, then put her back in the main tank later the same day or the next day.
