So my lighting is like this

=====[]=====

==== is a tube

[] is where they are plugged in.

So it's two bulbs spread out evenly amongst the tank....

If I moved all the plants to one side, would it be worth turning on the other bulb? I know the light is scattered in all directions but I'm pretty sure all my plants are low light and it wouldn't matter.

Vallis
Anacharis
Amazon sword
java fern

I don't think it would matter too much...

The reason for me doing this is because I want to have an area of less lighting because I am makinga female betta community and I think less lighting will also assist in breaking up the sight...

Sorry for being unclear :*)

Sounds alright to me. I mean, there doesnt sound like its gona effect the plants that much. Aslong as they have some light, which they do! If you kept the tank planted densly there would be plenty of shade anyway. Thats what happens in my tank, and others.

Keep an eye on em and see how they go! It will be interesting to here how they go. :p
