Ok my female platy has been acting strangely for a couple of days and i am VERY confused, i was just wondering if anyone had any idea whats wrong with her,

she is off her food the last time she ate was a small bit yesterday morning, she hasnt eaten all day today wheras the others have, she sits on a leaf in the tank or on the bottom and only swims small amounts, her breathing is steady and over all she looks quite relaxed! she floats still quite a lot and only moves if she has to! she doesnt look distressed or anything but every so often she wriggles! she doesnt look ill there is no gasping or anything! i am so confused! anyone any ideas??

do you think maybe she may be going to give birth?? my others behaved sort of like this but she doesnt look pregnant to me so im well confused!!!!!!! and she only had fry about 2 weeks ago! (at least i think it was her!)

Is her tail not fanned out? It could be something to do with stress. Do you have any male platys that may have been harassing to mate with her? Sometimes that can cause a fish to hide away like that.

nope her tail is shut as is her top fin, however the male hasnt been harrassing her ive bin watching since this morning trying to figure it out, i only have one male in the tank and he is more concerned with my other females! she is the only one he doesnt pay attention to, which i find odd in itself! so i have no clue
