Volume and Frequency of water changes: 50% every day whilst nitrite was spiking, now 25% weekly

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: 2 filters, carbon sponge - aquarium salt, nothing else

Tank inhabitants: guppies, mollies, platys, swordtails, and one plec

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): none in last 2 weeks

Exposure to chemicals: none

Digital photo (include if possible): too blurry, will borrow camera and try later

meant to add, this is my largest tank, 680 litre, about 25 livebearers in all, i have 4 tanks, and not had this problem with the others

it could be gill flukes. A company called AquaMaster does Fluke & Tapeworm tablets. The drug is Praziquantel and is safe for fish.

Do the fish show any signs of grey or white patching on the backs or above the head? If so it could be costia or something along those lines.

Are their fins clamped and are the fish swimming in an S motion but not getting anywhere? This is called shimmying and is common in livebearers. It can be caused by low mineral content in the water (soft water) or bacterial infections. Since you have other livebearers that are fine we will assume bacterial infection.

Hmmmm

no shimmies,

and yes I am feeding them enough

just treated with interpet no 9 so I will have to wait and see i think

Being thin can mean old age, fish tb, internal parasites, flukes.
