There! ;0)
I have had my 40gal tank set up for a few months now. Got lots of fish, and they're all doing great, and I'm really happy. This isn't really a problem, but I was just wondering anyhow. The glass always seemed a bit sort of 'cloudy'. Well, not really cloudy, but it wasn't particulaly clean. I do water changes once every week, and used my gravel-vac, and I also scrubbed the inside of the tank whenever I do water changes, but it didn't make any difference. The other day, I added another huge green plant with broad leaves, 1 albino ruby shark, another gourami, a sort of icy silvery-blue colour, and two catfish.
Now, two days later, and the glass is crystal clear! The water is really really clean, and all the fish look really bright and colourful! I couldn't really see the water properly before but now the tank looks really cool! Would this have been because I added the new plant, or would it have been the catfish?! I don't think it could have been them, somehow! The tank has a huge bit of bogwood, an airstone that is on constantly, and two plants.
I am curious to know so that I'll know what to do if it happens in any of my other tanks! :)

Could be the catfish that have cleaned the tank up for you.

I think it could be the catfish, or it might be the shark. my shark cleans up the tank for me, even though their different kinds, you never know, wierder things have happened to me...
