hmmm...salt won't clean off

I was gave a 30 gal tank that the pople use to have as a salt water tank. I can not get that white stuff off the tank or the filter, what can i use?
 
well a base of vineger and water might work .......... try mabye some strong detergents but wash EXTREMLY well before using and maybe try just rinning the water for a few days putting some soap in the water then changing the water and adding morwe water and soap ..... but i duno man
 
i've been told to use eaither vineger or lemon jucie to clean it off

Lucky you! :thumbs: It might take a little effort, :flex: but even the worst looking tank can usually be cleaned up well enough to use.

I do not recommend using any soap or detergent, since these can leave a residue that could be hard to get rid of. Instead, use white vinegar to loosen the deposits and then rub with a plastic scrubbing pad. It helps if the vinegar has a chance to set awhile and you may also need to use a razor blade, but be persistent. It will be worth the effort. :nod:
