I know, on the Betta's forum I asked what I could put in a 5 gallon.. but I moved around some stuff in my room and got enough space to fit a ten gallon. I want another betta as well.. But I have the option of getting a ten gallon, PLUS another 2.5 gallon. So... What fish prefer to be in a ten gallon? :)

Another betta.

Actually, as long as you don't have anything nippy or anything flashy that the betta would attack, you could put a very happy betta in there.

Or you could do a female betta tank. ;)

A sorority tank? That was what I had planned in the first place, but I though 10g was too small.. how many could you fit happily in there? :hyper:

you'd probably be better off asking that in the betta forum! :)

personally, i'd say 2-4, but that's really a wild guess. i've only ever had male bettas, since females aren't really too common where i live. you should be careful, though, because females can also fight each other if not given enough room! i'd stock a few hiding places if you choose to do a female betta tank.

female bettas can get along well with a few other types of fish, too; you might want to read this thread for fish options for a 10 gallon tank: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=116208.

good luck!

You need at least 5 females for a community to work. Anything less and there will be trouble.... (I swear, if I didn't have snails, I'd have about females in my 20 gallon!)

I know there are a few threads on this in the betta forums right now. I say check out the info straight from the experts there!
