Fish Crazy
Hi
I noticed that my tank had itch like 2 days ago, my Purple Blood Parrot has the signs but I also have a Hillstream loach in my tank, before there were signs of itch I kept the temp at 26C so that its was ok for both tank mates, but I raised it to 28C (gradually) the filter provides great aeration, I also used the only medication I had in hand which is methylene blue
Questions:
- Is this temp ok? or can I increase it more, notice I have a Hillstream Loach
- I usually use salt in order to calm fish but I cannot use it this time because of the loach, so, would it be more stressfull to give my parrot saltwater baths in order to threat the itch or should I leave it alone in the tank? without any saltwater baths
- I will most likely get another itch medication cause the methylene blue was almost at the last drops, so if I find another/better itch medication, should I make a water change because of the methylene blue or does it not matter???
Hope someone can help
