Does anyone have their own pics of any 'Butterfly Hillstream Loaches' (balitoridae ssp) that i could use for something?
Excluding beaufortia kweichownesis, sinogastromyzon wui and gastromyzon scitulus.....
Particularly looking for sewellia lineolata and psuedogastromyzon cheni.
Thanks in advance.

There are already some pics about hillstream loach i just posted them in this section from 2 weeks ago.

Yes, but you couldn't make out the markings.
I need pics of the aforementioned species so i can add some some ID pics to the species index....

Either way thanks again!

No probs :good:

Looks good :)

It would be worth adding that Pseudogastromyzon cheni have successfully spawned in aquariums and so have Sewellia lineolata and Sewellia sp "spotted", no real info is available about the spawning activity of the Sewellia's but the P. cheni males dig pits in the substrate and bury their eggs with fry usually emerging from the pits after around 14 days.

I considered doing a key;
brd=breeding info available
sx=physical gender differentiation
dt=dietary preferences differ to that of the beaufortia profile.....
What do you think? Possibly helpful....
Thanks again for the use of more photos, updating as i type this.

Another quick one;
I've tried to get the gastromyzon pic in my sig I.D'd as you may have seen on LOL, couldn't get any better pics althought the consensus appears to be
cranbrooki or zebrinus....
Your opinion?
Also any extra info for the key?

Ive just had a good look through my copy of "Borneo Suckers" by Tan Heok Hui and G. cranbrooki has a striped tail which yours doesn't appear to have. The closest ones in appearance to yours would be G. zebrinus and G. crenastus apart from slight pattern differences the main difference between the two is that G. crenastus has blue colouration to the centre of the tail whereas G. zebrinus has a plain tail :)

That's probably about as much info as you could give as regards to a key really, the main differences are dietary needs, sexual dimorphism and whether they have successfully spawned or not which is what you already have :)
