Hillstream Loach Has Vanished

I had a lovely healthy hillstream loach in with fancy goldfish and 2 cloud minnows. I don't remember him being ill at all but he has disappeared without a trace. I have checked all his usual hiding places and he is is not there. I have even taken the filter apart to check he wasn't inside. Do you think the other fish will have eaten him. I know I can't replace him as the LFS don't sell them anymore.

im a newb so i aint sure.. but i doubt he woulda been eaten widout a trace maybe just keep looking . hopefully hell turn up

it is unlikely that he has been eaten. you said you checked your filter, did you look underneath all of your ornaments. How long has he been missing. the other fish probably wouldn't have eaten him unless he was already dead. most fish will cannibalize on a corpse. if he hasn't been missing very long then chances are he is probably underneath an ornament. I hope you find the little guy.
