Hill Stream Loaches

they are hillstream loachs... subtropical i think. They don't get big either...something like 2-3" max. You're tank should be well airated with lots of water movement. Also under the filter you should put a large smooth stone for him to graze on.
 
They aren't really cold water they are subtropical. So the water should be heated. They really like the water at around 70 to 74. Anything higher and that and they really don't do very well. They are a member of the loach family sometimes you can find them sold under other names such as butterfly pleco. They are an algae eater but are small and non-aggressive and reach a maximum size of about 4 inchs.
