Not sure if this should be in the Hardware section but it seemed to fit here :D .

Anyway, my question is, what is the expiration date on Hikari freeze dried foods? I got some Daphnia on Valentines Day for my fish and I know its going to be a while before I use up the whole thing  . I just want to make sure that it won't go bad.

My guppies really like it so I always throw some in with my flakes. Only a little because when I pour some in the whole top is covered with little daphnia things and I feel like im overfeeding them :S .

Thanks!! ^_^

Frozen food can last a few years. I'd suggest using it all up in under a year and getting more later, just in case the food's been in the store for a while.

It doesn't have a date on it? That's odd. All my Hikari foods do. Anyway, freeze dried and flake foods last a while. I guees they are kingd of like SPAM.

OH I SEE NOW!! :D It saysss...."BEST BEFORE 2005.09"

Thanks Bol!

Another question though, because the Hikari food is so little, well the daphnia is atleast..can i put quite a bit in? I'm sure I would use it up faster if I didnt put just a little pinch in. But i dont want to overfeed my guys.

THANKS!
