hi im new i recently got two tanks from my anutie . cause my uncle had just passed away and she is now moving houses . so she gave the tanks to us. i dont know what kind of fish to buy. its a 150G and a 80G tank

I'm sorry about your loss. Those are big tanks to begin a hobby with, you're quite lucky there. Name a few fish that you want as a center piece and then we'll try and work around that. thanks for the welcome . my uncle use to have those a big fish ummm red and black and it ate meat and prawns dunno wats its caled sory it looked cool and he also had a huge catfish and always told me it had a poisonous fin touch it go to hospital . dono wat its caled also those fish were kool.

Welcome to the forums kat, I’m a bit new as well didn’t get the same reception as you though on the forums ;-).

I have only had my setup for about 3 months, already my guppies have had there second set of babes i dont know a lot but i'm learning fast theres a good bit of info on these forums you should try the fish index and learn about what fish you can keep in the same tank.

BTW Nice one getting such a big tank !

He he that’s cool, yea I cant believe how much they look the same though, I’m just making a cuppa Tea and I’ll go take a pic and show you, It may as well be the same fish .

Something I did notice though was on his like what I would call “foreheadâ€￾ and the area right above his eyes its like a red fog if that makes sense, he looks perfectly happy/healthy I just wasn’t sure if It was right any ideas if this is normal please snowyangel ?

Yes, thats perfectly fine. Most bettas have that smudgy colouring on top(except masked bettas where colour covers the whole head and face). Here you can view some example foreheads from my boys:

As you can see, they didn't want to flare.

Your betta's perfectly normal and he's very purdy.

I don't know about the catfish but the large black and red fish sounds like an oscar - a fish from the American cichlid family.
