Higher temp=higher metabolism right

Um, i dunno really.

The way i look at it is

-A higher motabolism rate means they can process food quicker through there digestive system, extracting less nutrients from the food and producing more waste that "dirties" the water. Good clean water provides good health, and good health promotes good growth. So dirty water, would somewhat prohibit the growth in your fish.

And who wants to watch there fish grow quicker? I want as much time as i can get watching my fish grow up! )

raising the temp is one component of 'powerfeeding' fish.
they metabolize the food quicker.

It's true, it goes along with the more you feed them the faster they grow. Either way one shouldn't overdo it to get their fish to grow unnaturally fast.

I know some people lower the temp to purposely slow dowm the metabolism, therefore creating less waste.

i've heard that the higher the temp the more the fish could pick up infection because bacteria like it warmer. Also I heard that fish will grow quicker but will live a shorter life
